Uptown Rhythm Festival Set to Bring Music, Food and Community to Ogontz Avenue

The former Ogontz Avenue Night Market returns September 10 with music, food, local vendors and family fun in West Oak Lane

September 3, 2026

Formerly known as the Ogontz Avenue Night Market, the Uptown Rhythm Festival will take place Thursday, September 10, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM along the 7100 block of Ogontz Avenue in West Oak Lane.

The Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation presents the free, all-ages event and brings together live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors and family-friendly activities. After its 2025 debut, the event returns this year with a new name that puts the focus on the music and energy of Philadelphia’s Uptown community.

The festival is also part of Ring It On! One Philly: A United Celebration, Philadelphia’s 2026 citywide series of neighborhood celebrations. The city’s Office of Special Events lists Uptown Rhythm among the September events highlighting Philadelphia’s communities, local businesses and cultural corridors.

The event continues a long tradition of arts and entertainment along Ogontz Avenue. OARC has used music and cultural programming as a way to draw visitors to West Oak Lane and support the Ogontz Avenue commercial corridor. The organization’s history includes the former West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival, which brought major performers and large crowds to the neighborhood.

This year’s Uptown Rhythm Festival keeps that connection between music and community going.
