Taco Festival Returns to Philadelphia for a Weekend of Food, Music, and Family Fun

The city's annual taco celebration brings together more than 130 taco styles, live entertainment, margaritas, and activities for all ages

June 25, 2026

Taco lovers, mark your calendars. The Philadelphia Taco Festival is set to return August 15–16, 2026, bringing two days of food, entertainment, and family-friendly fun to Philadelphia. Now in its ninth year, the festival will take over Stateside Live! in South Philadelphia, offering guests the chance to sample tacos from dozens of vendors while enjoying live music, cultural performances, contests and more.

What began as a celebration of one of the world's most popular foods has grown into one of the region's most anticipated food festivals. Organizers promise the biggest Philadelphia Taco Festival yet, featuring more than 40 taco and food vendors serving over 130 taco styles, along with margarita bars, tequila tastings, and a variety of culinary experiences.

Beyond the food, attendees can expect a full schedule of entertainment throughout the weekend. Live bands, DJs, authentic Mariachi music, folkloric performers, and Lucha Libre wrestling will keep the energy high across multiple indoor and outdoor stages. Competitive eaters can test their limits during the taco and hot chili pepper eating contests, while guests looking for a little adventure can try mechanical bull riding, axe throwing, and carnival-style games.

Families are encouraged to attend, with a dedicated Kids Fun Zone offering face painting, bounce houses, piñata smashing, balloon artists, and other activities. Children ages 10 and under receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
