Philly’s Next Great Food Entrepreneur Will Be Crowned at $5,000 Chef Showdown at 2300 Arena

Wooder Ice’s Hector Nuñez to host Oct. 24 culinary showdown featuring Food Network’s Chef Kenny and Josh Eats Philly’s Josh Moore as judges

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philly knows good food. Now, the city gets to decide who deserves the spotlight.

 

Mom Your Business and Katika will present the Philly Chef Showdown on Saturday, October 24th, from noon to 6:00 PM at 2300 Arena, 2300 S. Swanson St., bringing some of Philadelphia’s rising culinary entrepreneurs together for a high-energy competition with $5,000, business coaching and citywide bragging rights on the line.

 

This isn’t your average food festival. Before reaching the main stage, competitors must earn their spot through neighborhood tasting events where Philadelphians taste, vote and help determine who advances.

 

The grand finale will feature 15 to 20 finalists, live audience voting and a panel of culinary and food personalities.

 

Hector Nuñez of Wooder Ice will host the showdown, with Food Network’s Chef Kenny and Josh Moore of Josh Eats Philly among the judges helping determine who takes home the title.

 

“This is about more than who can make the best plate,” said Tanya T. Morris, founder and CEO of Mom Your Business. “Philadelphia is filled with talented food entrepreneurs who deserve access, investment and a bigger stage. We’re giving them all three and letting the city be part of the journey.”

 

The winner will receive a $5,000 grand prize, while finalists will gain access to business coaching through the Mom Your Business Fractional Executive Program.
