Legendary October Art Show Returns to Philadelphia for Its Fourth Annual Celebration

A night of art and fashion will bring Philadelphia’s creative scene together at The Braid Mill on October 23

On Friday, October 23, the fourth annual Legendary October Art Show will bring artists, designers, musicians, fashion creatives and art lovers together at The Braid Mill in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

 

For Lone.Cobain, a visual artist and curator, the idea that would eventually become Legendary October began at just 13 years old. It started as a vision for bringing artists and creatives together and has grown into an evolving celebration of art, design, music, and community — one that places the artists themselves at the center of the experience.

The first official Legendary October took place in 2023 at Tattooed Mom on South Street in
Philadelphia. Since then, the event has continued to develop into a platform designed to celebrate creative talent while challenging some of the traditional barriers artists can face when exhibiting their work.

One of the defining principles of Legendary October is simple: artists should not have to pay a fee simply for the opportunity to have their work seen.

 

From its first event through today, participating artists are not charged fees to hang their work or vend. Instead, the event is built around recognizing their talent, creating visibility and giving artists an opportunity to share their work in an environment centered around celebrating them. That philosophy remains a core part of the event’s identity.

More Than an Art Show
The concept of Legendary October Art Show brings together visual artists, designers, musicians, and other creatives for an immersive night. The event has already expanded beyond Philadelphia, with Legendary August experiences taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Brooklyn, New York - with additional cities on the horizon.

The Fashion Show

After the 1st annual October event, it then expanded to also include a fashion show.

Founder Lone.Cobain, head photographers Nerronn and Shai Munroe (Shesease) and stylist Rita Randolph / Ethel Styles came together and formed the Wolfpack Media Team.
From 2024 to present day, the LOAS Fashion Show has become a platform where unique
fashion designers can display their upcoming collections of clothes & accessories.
