Returns to Philadelphia, Reimagined for a New Era of Culture, Community, and Care
May 20, 2026
PHILADELPHIA, PA — On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Delaware River waterfront will come alive with purpose, rhythm, and renewal as the Juneteenth Wellness & Arts Festival (JWAF) returns to Cherry Street Pier (121 N. Columbus Blvd.) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Formerly known as the Juneteenth Wine & Arts Festival, this beloved Philadelphia tradition has evolved, intentionally and meaningfully, into a family-friendly, zero-proof experience centered on wellness, culture, and connection. Admission is free and open to all ages, inviting the entire community to gather in celebration of history, legacy, and the present moment.
A Celebration That Meets the Moment
What began as a cultural gathering has grown into something deeper.
The Juneteenth Wellness & Arts Festival reflects a shift in how communities are choosing to celebrate—prioritizing health, accessibility, and shared experiences without losing the joy, creativity, and vibrancy that define Juneteenth. In a time when wellness is no longer a luxury but a necessity, this festival offers something rare: a space where celebration and care coexist.
Attendees can expect free health screenings, fitness demonstrations, mental health resources, and interactive wellness experiences designed to support the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.
“The festival is about honoring where we come from while being intentional about how we live today,” said Shekhinah B., producer of the Juneteenth Wellness & Arts Festival and Executive Director and Founder of The Women’s Coalition for Empowerment, Inc. “We’ve grown into a space where people can celebrate freedom in a way that also prioritizes their well-being. It’s about legacy, but it’s also about how we care for ourselves and each other right now.”
