Philly's Hip-Hop in the Park Is Taking Over Eakins Oval on Saturday, August 8

The free outdoor festival returns for its sixth year with DJ Aktive, live graffiti, legendary MCs, a house music takeover and a full day of music, art and community

August 3, 2026

The sixth annual Hip-Hop In The Park is set for Saturday, August 8, bringing together performers, DJs, visual artists, dancers, vendors, community organizations and families for a free* day of programming from noon to 9:00 PM.

The festival was created by Philadelphia artist, muralist and community leader TAMEARTZ as a celebration of the many creative disciplines that make up Hip-Hop culture. From DJs and MCs to graffiti artists, dancers and community organizations, the event brings the culture together in one place for an all-ages experience.

Presented by SNIPES, with support from No Phly Zone, Human Robot, BOTLD, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Philadelphia Flyers and Red Bull, this year’s festival will put Philadelphia talent at the center of the celebration, with DJ Aktive announced as the 2026 headliner. The Philly native is widely known for his work as Janet Jackson’s touring DJ and for sharing stages around the world with some of the biggest names in music.

The music lineup stretches across generations and styles. Hip-Hop fans can expect performances from Craig G of the Juice Crew, Mr. Eon of The High & Mighty, Outerspace of Army of the Pharaohs, Goody Gunz, Truck North of The Roots Crew, KXNG Charisma and Elemxnt, along with surprise appearances throughout the afternoon.

Behind the turntables, the festival will feature DJ Mike Nyce, DJ Too Tuff, BEAR-ONE, DJ JS1, DJ JAYSKI, Nico Oso and more.

And Hip-Hop won’t be the only sound filling Eakins Oval.

House Music in the Park

The festival will carve out a dedicated House Music Hour, bringing together legendary DJ Lee Jones and FLYGIRRL for a special celebration of the genre. Philadelphia spoken word artist and House music icon Ursula Rucker will host the segment.

Art in the Park

Hip-Hop In The Park will turn Eakins Oval into an outdoor canvas with live graffiti demonstrations and murals created by artists from Philadelphia, New York, Florida and other cities.

Dance in the Park

One Take Studios will bring a special performance featuring emerging dancers and choreographers. Attendees can also catch breaking and street dance exhibitions throughout the festival.

Additional Activities

The outdoor event will include a 3-Point Basketball Contest presented by No Phly Zone, a vendor marketplace, food trucks, community organizations, giveaways and activities designed for families and festivalgoers of all ages.

Human Robot and BOTLD will host a Beer & Liquor Garden.
