Philadelphia's Dîner en Blanc Returns With an America 250 Celebration

The city's most elegant outdoor dinner party is back. Here's everything you need to know about tickets, the dress code, and what to expect.

July 6, 2026

Every summer, thousands of Philadelphians dressed in white gather at a secret location for one of the city's most anticipated traditions. In 2026, Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia returns on Thursday, August 20, 2026, for its 14th year with a special twist, celebrating America 250 in the birthplace of the nation.

Known for transforming public spaces into elegant open-air dining experiences, the event blends fashion, food, music, and community into an unforgettable evening. While the location remains a closely guarded secret until the day of the event, the excitement begins long before guests arrive.

How to Get Tickets

Attending Dîner en Blanc requires advance registration, and tickets are released in multiple phases.

Registration is divided into three waves:

Phase 1: Previous year's attendees and invited guests of the organizers

Phase 2: Friends sponsored by Phase 1 members

Phase 3: Members of the official Fan List

Anyone can join the Fan List for a chance to receive a Phase 3 invitation when tickets become available.

To attend Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia 2026, register through the official Philadelphia Fan List at www.philadelphia.dinerenblanc.com/fan.

Tickets are typically sold in pairs, with pricing averaging around $56 per person, though pricing may vary each year.

The Signature Dress Code

Guests must wear elegant, head-to-toe white attire. Ivory, cream, and off-white are not permitted. Gold, silver, or nude accessories may be incorporated, but the overall look should remain predominantly white.

The Secret Location

One of Dîner en Blanc's biggest traditions is keeping the venue under wraps until the day of the event.

After registering, guests select a designated departure location throughout the city. From there, volunteer Table Leaders escort their groups to the surprise destination.

Those hoping to sit with friends choose the same Table Leader during registration.

What to Bring

True to the event's French tradition, guests are expected to bring everything needed to create their own elegant dining experience, including:

  • A folding table and two white chairs
  • A white tablecloth and cloth napkins
  • White table settings and dinnerware
  • A gourmet meal for two
  • A garbage bag to leave the space spotless

Many attendees also decorate their tables with flowers, candles, and elaborate centerpieces.
